The collage-style ad is a nod to the city’s rich musical history, featuring venues such as the Salford Lads Club and familiar faces such as Happy Monday’s Rowetta. Each scene was shot in analog, and bleaching, cutting, and painting the film in the edit added to the texture.

The film’s director, Glenn Kitson, described Cooper Clarke as one of his “all-time heroes” and shared that bringing his vision to life required calling in numerous favors to ensure it turned out exactly as he imagined.
