The garment, endorsed by Converge’s Ben Koller, permits concertgoers to stay hydrated without leaving the mosh pit.

Liquid Death has done it again, pushing absurdist marketing to new extremes with its latest product: the Pit Diaper, a collaboration with Depend.

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a diaper for concertgoers who refuse to leave the pit, no matter how much water (or beer) they’ve chugged.

Endorsed by metalcore legend Ben Koller (of Converge, Mutoid Man and more), the Pit Diaper promises to lock away recycled Liquid Death while neutralizing odors so you can keep raging to your favorite songs without worrying about leaks – or judgment.

Made from cruelty-free quilted pleather and adorned with chains and spikes, the $75 Pit Diaper blends seamlessly into any metal concert outfit. The brand says it’s both a fashion statement and a functional piece of concert gear.

“The show can’t be stopped for a bathroom break,” said Koller. “With the Pit Diaper, I can hydrate without missing a beat.”

The campaign’s commercial plays up the chaos of underground venue bathrooms, with their graffiti-covered walls, never-ending lines and the distinct possibility of slipping in unidentified puddles.

“The scariest place at a show isn’t the pit; it’s the bathroom,” the narrator quips. The ad, filmed in the style of a dated late-night infomercial, delivers its pitch with all the campy charm of an “as seen on TV” product.

This isn’t Liquid Death’s first foray into irreverent marketing. The water brand has a history of blending its rock-and-roll ethos with unconventional campaigns thanks to its founder Mike Cessario’s roots in the music scene. From cans that “murder your thirst” to an array of merch that wouldn’t look out of place at a Slayer concert, the brand has mastered the art of making hydration feel hardcore.

Whether the Pit Diaper is a genius marketing move or an elaborate inside joke for metal fans, one thing’s for sure: it’s pure Liquid Death. After all, why should bathroom breaks kill the vibe when you’ve got a product as metal as this?
